Total COVID-19 infections at 750
BENGALURU:
On Friday, Karnataka saw the highest single-day spike of 45 new COVID-19 positive cases since March, taking the state’s tally to 750.
The media bulletin of the health department stated that of the 45 fresh cases, 24 are women, including two infants aged 3 years and 5 years.
Davanagere, Uttara Kannada, Belagavi and Bengaluru almost totally accounted for Friday’s numbers. Davanagere reported 14, Uttara Kannada 12, Belagavi 11 and Bengaluru 7, while one case was from Ballari district.
As per the bulletin, at least 11 of them are minors below 18 years while one is a five-month-old girl.
