Bengaluru: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct a written examination on Sunday, January 25, for the recruitment of Junior Assistants and equivalent posts across eight government departments, involving a total of 325 vacancies.
The departments include Technical Education, Bangalore Development Authority (BDA), Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL), Agricultural Marketing Department, among others.
According to KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna, the examination will be held at 319 centres across 12 districts — Bengaluru, Mysuru, Tumakuru, Belagavi, Ballari, Koppal, Dharwad, Dakshina Kannada, Kalaburagi, Shivamogga, Vijayapura and Davanagere.
A total of 1,33,346 candidates are expected to appear for the examination.
High-Security Measures in Place
To ensure maximum transparency and zero malpractice, KEA has put in place stringent security arrangements at all examination centres.
- CCTV surveillance will be active inside examination halls
- Signal jammers will be deployed to prevent electronic communication
- Electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited
- Face Recognition Technology will be used for candidate verification before entry
- A mandatory dress code has been prescribed, which candidates must strictly follow
KEA officials stated that these measures are aimed at conducting a fair, tamper-proof and malpractice-free examination.
Candidates have been advised to arrive well in advance, adhere to all guidelines, and cooperate with examination staff for smooth conduct of the test.
