
3 ‘Covid Care Centres’ notified for Bengaluru
BENGALURU:
Amid the rise in Covid cases in Bengaluru, the state government has decided to convert three large indoor spaces into ‘Covid Care Centres’ for asymptomatic patients.  They are the Sri Sri Ravishankar Ashram, the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium and the Koramangala Indoor Stadium.
Health and Family Welfare Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pandey tweeted on Saturday night: “In the wake of the rising Covid-19 positive cases and in view of the public interest, Sri Sri Ravishankar Ashram, Kanteerava Indoor Stadium and Koramangala Indoor Stadium to operate as Covid Care Centres for asymptomatic patients.”

The Health Director in his notification: “There is a need for enhancing the number of Covid Care Centres in and around Bengaluru city and therefore, exercising powers under the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 and also in view of the public interest, these three centres are being made functional.”
