
More than 8,500 have benefited from Karnataka job fairs: DyCM
BENGALURU:
A month-long virtual job fair organized by the Karnataka Skill Development Board was launched on Friday, with more than 20 companies participating.
DyCM CN Ashwath Narayan, who is also Minister for Higher Education and Skill Development said there are many opportunities in foreign countries for skilled manpower, pointing out that in Japan alone more than 5 lakh jobs are available.
The Skill Development Board has been organizing virtual job fairs often since last year in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, and more than 8,500 youths have benefited, the DyCM said.

Job aspirants are requested to register on http://www.skillconnect.kaushalkar.com . More than 20 leading companies, including Aditya Birla Fashion, Hinduja Global, Wistron and Flipkart, are seeking to employ manpower through the fair.
Among those present on the occasion were Dhiman from HGS, Kalpana BG, AVP-HR, Aditya Birla, Suresh, AVP-HR, Sansera Engineering Ltd, Karnataka Skill Development Corporation MD Ashwin Gowda and Skill Dept Deputy Secretary Maruthi Prasanna.
