Drug-running between Mangalore and Kerala has been going on for ages. But the activity had stopped for the past 5 months because of the pandemic. The Kerala-Karnataka border was sealed and checkposts had been increased.
However, with inter-state travel curbs relaxed recently, the drug mafia’s operations have picked up again.
