BENGALURU:
The management of CV Raman Hospital in the city was pulled up by Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar for several shortcomings in treatment of Covid cases. He ordered the suspension of 2 officials in this connection.
During his visit to the hospital on Thursday, the minister noticed that only 2 of the 15 high-flow oxygen beds were occupied. He told the management to send asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic patients to Covid Care Centres so that beds could be freed for more critical cases.

The minister was not happy with the hospital lab’s performance and asked the management to collect at least 500 swabs daily. He also interacted with patients via video conferencing.
Dr Sudhakar appealed to recovered patients to donate their plasma, and said the government would give Rs. 5,000 as an incentive to plasma donors.
