
Bengaluru: Minority Welfare Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan on Friday launched the new loan, subsidy and welfare schemes of the Karnataka Christian Community Development Corporation (KCSDC) along with its official web portal, during a function held at the KMDC Bhavan in Seshadripuram.
Speaking at the event, Zameer Ahmed Khan said the state government under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is committed to the principle of “Equal share and equal opportunity for all.” He added that the government has set up separate corporations and designed special schemes to empower socially and economically weaker sections of society.
“The Karnataka Christian Community Development Corporation has been established to strengthen the social and economic welfare of the Christian community and its institutions. I hope the ₹250 crore grant sanctioned by the Chief Minister will contribute significantly to the upliftment of the Christian community,” the minister said.
Corporation to Focus on Inclusive Growth
Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Nasir Ahmed, who also spoke at the event, expressed confidence that the corporation’s new initiatives will ensure comprehensive development of the Christian community across Karnataka.
Corporation Chairman Prof. S. Jaffet thanked the Chief Minister, the Minority Welfare Minister, and community leaders for supporting the establishment of KCSDC. He assured that the corporation will work diligently to ensure effective implementation of its schemes and programmes.
He further urged churches, institutions, and community leaders to actively promote the corporation’s welfare programmes so that eligible individuals can fully benefit from them.
The event was attended by KCSDC Managing Director Antony Maria Emmanuel, board members Sanjeev Kumar Jagirdar, Prashanth Raj Jattanna, Harsha Melvin Lasrado, Sandeep, Joseph Kumar, G.J. Ravikumar, G. Xavier, along with Minority Commission Chairman U. Nisar Ahmed and KMDC Chairman Altaf Khan, among others.
