Bengaluru: The NCC Directorate Karnataka & Goa has once again stamped its dominance by emerging champions at the All India Vayu Sainik Camp (AIVSC 2025), hosted at Air Force Station Jalahalli, Bengaluru. With an impressive medal haul, the contingent lifted the prestigious Vayu Sena Trophy for Best Air Contingent for the third consecutive year.
The closing ceremony of the AIVSC 2025, the apex training camp of Air Wing NCC, turned into a grand spectacle with Air Vice Marshal K. Prem Kumar, VM, VSM, Command Flying Training Officer, HQ Training Command IAF, presiding as the Chief Guest. He felicitated the winners and urged cadets to embrace courage, confidence, and integrity as guiding values for their future careers.
This year’s camp brought together 632 Air Wing NCC cadets from across 17 directorates, with each contingent represented by 38 handpicked cadets who had undergone months of rigorous training. In a historic first, the Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh Directorate also marked its debut participation.
The cadets competed fiercely in a variety of events that tested their skill, endurance, and precision, including drill, skeet shooting, .22 rifle firing, aeromodelling, field craft, and microlight flying. In keeping with evolving technology, a Drone Competition was introduced for the first time, aimed at fostering vocational skills and aviation exposure among cadets.
Beyond competitions, cadets benefited from leadership sessions, motivational talks by armed forces officers, and training modules by the Centre for Leadership & Behavioural Studies, an IAF Service Training Institute.
With a record haul of 12 individual medals and two trophies, including ‘Best in Drone Competition’, NCC Directorate Karnataka & Goa secured the Vayu Sena Trophy. NCC Directorate Maharashtra emerged as the first runner-up, highlighting the intense level of competition.
The camp not only showcased the exceptional training and discipline of cadets but also reinforced the NCC’s role as a cradle for future armed forces leaders and aviation enthusiasts.
