Bengaluru: Energy Minister K. J. George on Friday dedicated the newly constructed building housing BESCOM’s Whitefield Division and E-4 Sub-division Office, marking a major infrastructure boost for one of Bengaluru’s fastest-growing zones.
The Minister said the upgrade was long overdue.
“Until now, both the Whitefield Division and E-4 Sub-division were functioning out of a rented building. With the new integrated office on Immadihalli Main Road, operations will become smoother and consumers will receive services much more efficiently,” he said.
George thanked Mahadevapura MLA Manjula Aravind Limbavali for her support in securing the land needed for the project.
“Whitefield is one of the city’s key economic hubs, and this division alone serves more than 3,88,917 consumers. This new facility will significantly improve BESCOM’s ability to handle public service demands,” he added.
The inauguration was attended by MLA Manjula Aravind Limbavali, Gaurav Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department, Dr. N. Shivashankara, Managing Director, BESCOM, H. J. Ramesh, Technical Director, BESCOM and other senior officers
The new BESCOM complex includes a three-storey structure with a 13,687 sq. ft. ground floor, built at an estimated cost of ₹4.25 crore. The office will house all essential consumer-facing services, billing facilities, and technical operations under one roof — reducing delays and improving grievance redressal efficiency.
