Bengaluru cops say accused has cheated more than 20 people on pretext of offering them govt job
BENGALURU:
The Vidhana Soudha police have arrested a man who signed a job-related ‘government order’ in the name of IAS officer Jawaid Akhtar and cheated the victims of Rs 6 lakh.
The accused has been identified as Sandeep, a resident of Mandya.

As per the FIR copy, Tabriz Sharif and his wife Salma Kausar are working on an outsourced basis at Bowring Hospital. Accused No 1 Veena and Accused No 2 Sandeep were known to them and promised them a government system analyst’s job for a ‘consideration’ of Rs 6 lakh.

Duo cheated
They forged the signature of IAS officer Jawaid Akhtar (former Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare department) and handed over a government job order to Tabriz and Salma.
The police, acting on a complaint filed by K Cheeranjeevi, Joint Secretary, Health and Family Welfare department, arrested Sandeep.
DCP (Central) MN Anucheth said the Vidhana Soudha police had received a complaint on October 1 of two people being cheated on the basis of a forged signature of IAS officer Jawaid Akhtar by Sandeep.
“We arrested Sandeep from Pune, and it has come to our notice that he has cheated around 20-22 people,” Anucheth said.
