Applicants can register 3 others, can reschedule earlier appointment
BENGALURU:
All vaccine enthusiasts in Bengaluru can get cracking as the Centre has rolled out the digital red carpet by opening the Co-WIN app from Monday morning, March 1, for two age groups – all those who 60-plus and all those who are 45-plus with comorbidities.
People can enroll themselves by logging in to https://www.cowin.gov.in/home. After a person registers himself/herself (and a maximum of 3 others) by providing his/her mobile number, a one-time password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number. Using the OTP to log in to the system, the person can choose his/her vaccination centre and time slot.
Carry your ID proof
Confirmation of the appointment can be downloaded, and the appointment will also be sent as an SMS to the registered mobile number. The person can get the first dose of the vaccine at the selected vaccination centre after verification of the ID mentioned during registration, and the next appointment for the second dose after 28 days will be automatically scheduled.
Among the other features of the app, an already booked vaccination date can be rescheduled. In case the person has moved to another city, the appointment can be rescheduled for the nearest vaccination centre in that city.
