The Karnataka government has taken a leaf from Delhi, where Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced that there won’t be any physical media briefings but only online ones with immediate effect.
The Health and Family Welfare Department has announced that it too will encourage media briefings through video conferencing rather than direct interactions.
Department additional chief secretary Javed Akhtar on Saturday requested all media persons to maintain ‘social distancing’ by downloading the ‘Zoom’ app for media briefings on Covid-19.
