
Bengaluru: Bengaluru East City Corporation Commissioner Ramesh D.S. slapped a fine of ₹25,000 on Pakashala Restaurant in Bellandur after finding unhygienic conditions in its kitchen during a surprise inspection on Monday. The Commissioner warned the hotel management to strictly maintain cleanliness and avoid future violations, emphasizing that poor sanitation would not be tolerated.
Earlier in the day, the Commissioner conducted an inspection of various locations in the Bellandur ward. He noticed several unauthorized permanent stalls encroaching on the footpath near Wipro, Bellandur, and directed immediate clearance using JCB machinery. He cautioned that any recurrence of such encroachments would invite strict legal action.

Ramesh D.S. also visited the Auto Tipper Muster Point to review its functioning and inspected bulk waste management systems in apartment complexes, urging officials to ensure efficient operations.
The Commissioner reiterated that the corporation will take stringent measures against hygiene violations, footpath encroachments, and waste mismanagement to improve civic standards across the city.
