Kalaburagi/Bengaluru: The Chittapur Tahsildar Nagayya Hiremath has denied permission for the RSS route march (patha sanchalan) scheduled for Sunday at 3 PM, citing possible law and order issues and the need to prevent any untoward incidents in the town.
In his official order issued late Saturday night, the Tahsildar stated that permission was denied to ensure peace and public safety, as multiple organizations had sought clearance to hold rallies on the same day. The decision followed a police report warning of potential tension if simultaneous processions were allowed.
According to the order, the RSS district convener Prahlad Vishwakarma had applied for permission to conduct the march in Chittapur on Sunday. However, the Bhim Army and Dalit Panther organizations had also applied to hold their processions on the same day. “Since all three groups requested permission for the same time and route, there is a high risk of public unrest. Hence, permission for the RSS march has been denied based on police recommendations,” the Tahsildar wrote in his order.

Municipal Officials Remove Banners
Chittapur, which falls under the constituency of Minister Priyank Kharge, had seen RSS flags, banners, and buntings put up in preparation for the march. However, early Saturday morning, municipal officials removed the decorations, citing the absence of formal permission for the event.
Following that, the Tahsildar officially issued an order rejecting the RSS request for the route march to maintain communal harmony and law and order in the sensitive region.
