The Indian government has unveiled an ambitious plan to transform the nation’s textile sector through the launch of PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) parks. Each park is expected to create around 300,000 jobs, both directly and indirectly, covering all facets of the textile value chain, including spinning, weaving, processing, garment, and accessory manufacturing, according to Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh, in a statement to Lok Sabha.
