BENGALURU:
Even as the II PUC got under way on Wednesday, the social media was abuzz with ‘news’ of the physics question paper being leaked. It was found to be fake news later when officials clarified that the question paper was circulated on the social media one hour after the test had already begun.
Around 2 lakh students wrote the physics exam on Wednesday across Karnataka. The first three pages of the physics question paper were doing the rounds of the social media within an hour of commencement of the test.
According to some reports, one of the exam supervisors allegedly took photographs of the physics paper after it had been removed from the sealed cover and circulated it on various sites, including Whatsapp.
A criminal case has been filed in the matter. The PU Board has clarified that it was not a question paper leak. A circular issued by the PU Board says all kinds of electronic gadgets, including mobile phones, are prohibited inside the exam centres.
