New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again raised serious allegations of voter fraud in Karnataka’s Aland constituency, presenting what he described as documentary proof at a press conference in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Rahul Gandhi released records showing that 6018 voters’ names were deleted from the Aland electoral roll during the 2023 elections, with the majority belonging to Congress supporters. He alleged that fake IDs and out-of-state mobile numbers were used to engineer these deletions.

“In just 14 minutes, 12 voters were deleted under one name — Surya Kant. This is not an isolated incident but part of a larger pattern targeting Dalits, Adivasis, minorities, and OBCs who traditionally vote for the Opposition,” Gandhi said during his presentation.
The Congress leader accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of shielding those responsible instead of ensuring a fair process. He highlighted that the Karnataka CID had written 18 letters to the ECI over 18 months about irregularities, but no action was taken.

“This is not a hydrogen bomb, but it is evidence of deliberate voter fraud. The Election Commission has chosen silence instead of accountability,” Gandhi charged, insisting that his claims were backed by 100% verifiable proof.

This marks the second time Gandhi has publicly accused the ECI of complicity in voter manipulation. On both occasions, he has singled out Aland constituency as a case study, pointing to the alleged systematic deletion of Congress votes.
The revelations are expected to intensify the ongoing political debate on electoral transparency, institutional independence, and voter suppression ahead of future state and national polls.
