Notorious rowdy slum Bharat was encountered on Thursday near Hesaraghatta. He was shot after he attempted to escape from the police custody.
Bharat wanted in more than 50 including murder extortion and was arrested in uttar Pradesh, two days ago.
According to the cops he was being taken in a private car to show the crime scenes where he had committed illegal activities. It was around 2am when his associates tried to escape him from police custody in another car which followed the car in which cops were moving, his men fired on cops even tried to kill with machete.
Interestingly Bharat was successfully rescued from cops custody and was being taken away in another car. A Filmi style follow up encounter took place around at around 5 am after Bharat and his associates opened fire on cops.
Rajgopal Nagar police station inspector Dinesh Patil BS survived as a bullet which was fired in his direction was hit to a bullet proof jacket which was worn by him. Nandini Layout Police station police constable Subhash was injured in the encounter.
Deputy commissioner of police (North) N Shashi Kumar said that two bullets where fired in Bharat’s directions — one bullet got hit on his leg while another pierced abdomen.
