Bengaluru: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Impact Based Forecast & Warnings bulletin cautioning residents across North Interior Karnataka about severe cold wave conditions in isolated pockets over Bidar, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Raichur and Yadgir districts during the next 24 hours. The IMD also said cold wave conditions are very likely across North Interior Karnataka for the next two days, while parts of South Interior Karnataka may also witness cold wave conditions for the next two days.

What the IMD bulletin says

Weather trend: Dry weather is likely to prevail over Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka, and South Interior Karnataka.

  • Temperature warning (next 24 hours): Severe cold wave likely at isolated pockets over Bidar, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Raichur, Yadgir (North Interior Karnataka).

  • Minimum temperature outlook: No large change for the next 2 days; gradual rise by about 2–3°C thereafter (as per the bulletin).

Impact: What people should watch out for
