In another leopard attack within a week, an elderly woman was killed by a big cat in Magadi taluk of Ramanagara district on Friday night.
The 68-year-old women, identified as Gangamma, was attacked and killed by the leopard while she was sleeping outside her home in Kottaganahalli village of Magadi taluk.
Her half-eaten body was discovered at some distance from her house. Forest department and Magadi police officials visited the spot.
Last Saturday, a three-year-old boy was dragged out of his house and killed by a leopard in Kadarayana Palya of Magadi taluk. These two incidents have led to a sense of panic among the locals.
