Bengaluru / Hubballi: In a move to accommodate the increased passenger demand during the festive season, South Western Railway (SWR) has announced a special express train service between Belagavi and SMVT Bengaluru, operating for one trip in each direction.
According to an official press release from Dr. Manjunath Kanamadi, Chief Public Relations Officer, SWR Hubballi, the Train No. 06221 Belagavi – SMVT Bengaluru Express Special will depart from Belagavi at 8:00 p.m. on October 5, 2025 (Sunday), and arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 8:30 a.m. the following day.
In the return direction, Train No. 06222 SMVT Bengaluru – Belagavi Express Special will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 9:00 p.m. on October 6, 2025 (Monday) and reach Belagavi at 8:30 a.m. the next day.

En route, the special trains will halt at Londa, Alnavar, Dharwad, SSS Hubballi, SMM Haveri, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere, Tumakuru, and Chikbanavar stations.
The special train will run with 22 coaches, comprising 20 Sleeper Class Coaches and 2 Second Class-cum-Luggage Brake Vans with a Disabled-Friendly Compartment to ensure accessibility for all passengers.
This initiative by South Western Railway aims to provide additional travel convenience and ease congestion on the Belagavi–Bengaluru route during the festive rush.
