In order to dissolve blood clots in the brain, researchers have developed a new tool and method called "vortex ultrasound," which is a form of an ultrasonic tornado. The new methodology removed clots more quickly than existing methods in an in vitro model of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST).
