Sarakki lake will be the focus of early-morning ride
BENGALURU:
Ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8, ‘Changemakers of Kanakapura Road’ and SMITAM are organising a ‘fun cycle ride’ to Sarakki lake from the Yelechenhalli metro station on Sunday, March 7, at 6:30 am.
The ride (to and fro) will be about 10 km. At Sarakki lake, participants will be briefed by members of the Sarakki Lake Area Improvement Trust on the history of the lake and efforts to rejuvenate the water body since the last couple of years.
Open to all above 15 years
The event is open to all who are above 15 years. Women in particular are encouraged to participate.

Carry your own water
Participants are encouraged to carry their own water bottles and avoid plastic littering. Bicycles will be provided to those who don’t have them for a fee of Rs 150.
