After a video of a railway official performing his thermal scanning duties ‘casually’ went viral on Friday, the staffer has been suspended for ‘negligence of duty’.
In the video, Senior Health Assistant Narasimha Murthy is seen speaking on his mobile while doing thermal scanning carelessly at the Tumkur railway station.
DHO Dr. Chandrika has ordered his suspension. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Sridhar Murthy, said, “The suspended employee was with the district health department.”
