KOLAR:
A dispute between a land surveyor and a land owner ended in the fatal stabbing of a tahsildar in Topanahalli village of Bangarpet on Thursday.
The tahsildar, 54-year-old Chandramouli, succumbed to his injuries at the R L Jalappa hospital.
The accused, Venkatapathy, a retired headmaster and resident of Periyakalavanchi village, was arrested by the police.
As per Superintendent of Police Sujeetha Salman, the incident occurred during the survey of a disputed land in Topanahalli when the tahsildar tried to intervene during an argument between Rama Murthy, a surveyor, and Venkatapathy.
