KODAGU:
A priest and 3 others have gone missing in Talakaveri after a landslide was triggered by heavy rainfall.
Search and rescue operations have been hampered by incessant rains accompanied by gusty winds and low visibility.
Kodagu DC Annies Kanmani Joy said, “A landslide occurred in Talakaveri, where the chief preacher of the Talakaveri constituency, TS Narayana Achar, and his wife Ananditheetha and two others have gone missing.
“Two houses have been damaged by a landslide near the Talakaveri shrine, and a disaster management team is working with the locals to prevent mudslides.”
The landslide on the Bhagmandala-Talakaveri road left several vehicles damaged.
