BENGALURU:
The CCB police have arrested a man involved in human trafficking and have rescued 9 girls.
The accused, identified as Basavaraju Sankarappa Kalasad, used to target girls from other states who were in search of jobs. “He used to promise them a job, but would send them to dance bars. Also, many girls were sent to Fujairah and other places in the UAE,” a police official said.
The accused was working in the film industry. He would allegedly entice young girls by showing them photos of himself with film stars.
A case has been registered at the Nandini Layout police station.
