BENGALURU/KARWAR: A devastating incident occurred in Dandeli, where six members of a family tragically drowned in the Kali River at Aquada village. Among the deceased were four children, identified as Nazir Ahmed (40), Alchiya Ahmed (10), Mohin Ahmed (6), Resha Unnisa (38), Ifra Ahmed (15), and Abid Ahmed (12). They were residents of Iswara Nagar in Hubballi. Fortunately, two other family members who were on the river bank managed to escape unharmed.
The family had traveled to Dandeli in a vehicle, with eight members in total. Tragically, while swimming in the river, the six individuals lost their lives. The Dandeli police recovered the bodies from the river and transported them to Dandeli hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered at the Dandeli Rural police station in connection with this heartbreaking incident.
