
Rajkumar Khatri transferred to Agriculture Department, while Jawaid Akhtar takes charge of Forest Department
BENGALURU:
In a major reshuffle, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday, after elevating the Revenue Department’s Principal Secretary N Manjunatha Prasad as his Principal Secretary, appointed Tushar Giri Nath in Prasad’s earlier post.

Giri Nath, a 1993 batch IAS officer who was in charge of the Co-operation Department, was transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Principal Secretary (Revenue).
Giri Nath also has concurrent charge as Principal Secretary (Disaster Management, Bhoomi and UPOR).
Change in CMO

Prasad has relieved Additional Chief Secretary EV Ramana Reddy, who was looking after the CM’s Office in the capacity of Additional Chief Secretary. Reddy, a 1988 batch IAS officer, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Commerce & Industries Department, vice Dr Rajkumar Khatri, IAS, who has been transferred.
Reddy will continue to hold concurrent charge as Additional Chief Secretary of the Information Technology & Bio-Technology Department.

Dr Rajkumar Khatri, a 1988 batch IAS officer, is now posted as Additional Chief Secretary of the Agriculture Department.

Jawaid Akhtar, a 1989 batch IAS officer, has been posted as a full-fledged Additional Chief Secretary to the Forest, Ecology & Environment Department, while he continues to hold concurrent charge as Additional Chief Secretary to the Health & Family Welfare Department.
