A coalition of independent human rights experts has strongly urged the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to halt alleged repression and retaliatory measures against students and faculty participating in pro-Palestinian protests on university campuses. The experts warn that the reported detentions, visa revocations, and removals of international students are not only arbitrary but also undermine fundamental democratic values, including freedom of expression and academic freedom.
