BENGALURU: The incident of a woman being raped near KR Market in Bengaluru on Wednesday night has caused deep concern among the community.
The victim, a 37-year-old woman who had left her village following a fight with her husband, was waiting for a bus to Yelahanka when she was approached by two assailants. They lured her to Godown Street under the guise of helping her find the bus stop, only to sexually assault her, steal her jewelry, and money.
The police, aided by CCTV footage, are actively working to apprehend the perpetrators.
This heinous crime, coupled with the rising incidents of theft in Karnataka, has left the public in a state of shock and fear.
