Karnataka CM to have busy inspection schedule of Bengaluru road projects
BENGALURU:
Amid the frenzied developments regarding his possible resignation on July 26, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa will conduct what could be his last inspection of infrastructure works in Bengaluru city on Friday, July 23. The CM also holds the portfolio of Bengaluru’s development.
The CM’s office and BBMP officials have chalked out a two-and-a-half-hour tour for the CM to inspect white-topping, Tender Sure, Smart City and other projects executed by BBMP.

Earlier, it was planned to get several projects inaugurated by Yediyurappa but the idea was dropped due to possible protocol issues and an inspection tour by the was decided upon, said an official who is coordinating the tour plan with the CMO.

Tour starts at 11 am
As per the plan, the Chief Minister will start the inspection at 11 am from his official residence ‘Krishna’ and reach Anand Rao Circle, where he will inspect Tender Sure projects comprising 26 roads in Gandhinagar.
Later, Yediyurappa will drive through Subedar Chatram Road, KG Road, Dhanvantri Road, KSRTC Road and Gubbi Thotadappa Road, and will head towards Nayandahalli junction to inspect junction improvement work.
At around 11.40 am, the CM will drive through the Outer Ring Foad from Nayandahalli junction to Dr Rajkumar Memorial, and from there drive through Planetarium Road and Infantry Road which are being developed under the Smart City project. He will also inspect Commercial Street, which is being developed under the Smart City project. Around 12.10 pm, he is scheduled to inspect white-topping work of a 1.9 km stretch at CV Raman Hospital Road in Indiranagar.
Waterway project
Sources also said that BBMP has decided to show the CM the ‘K-100’ waterway project which was launched by him a few months ago.
The schedule will further see the CM drive through Raja Ram Mohan Roy Road, developed under the Smart City project, and inspect BMRCL work at Minsk Square. At 1.30 pm, Yediyurappa will conclude his inspection of Raj Bhavan Road, and Palace Road up to Mount Carmel College, and head back to his official residence ‘Krishna’.
