BWSSB’s Malleswaram project will reduce water leakage considerably: Minister Ashwath Narayan
BENGALURU:
A total of 17,879 households will be given new tap water connections and 1,500 manholes will be constructed in the Malleswaram assembly constituency, Dr CN Ashwath Narayan, Minister for IT/BT, who is also the MLA from the constituency, said on Tuesday.

He was speaking after performing the ground-breaking ceremony for the BWSSB waterline work being undertaken at a cost of Rs 29.48 crore.
New manholes
The work includes 66 km of new water lines, new manholes and new tap water connections at HMT Road, Subedar Palya, Gayatri Nagar and Bhuvaneshwari Nagar.

The work will enable provision of clean drinking water as well reduction in leakage of water from the current 25% to 10-15%, the Minister said.
Several leaders of the Malleswaram BJP unit were present at the event.
