BENGALURU:
Two ‘supari’ (contract) killers were nabbed on Sunday in the Jallahalli police limits, but only after the cops shot both in the leg.
The duo, Arun and Bharat, had received Rs 10 lakh ‘supari’ to kill one Rajashekhar.
On July 23, they rammed a car into Rajashekhar’s bike and then attacked him with machetes. Rajashekhar’s screams attracted passersby, upon which the accused fled the scene.
An injured Rajashekar was admitted to a hospital.
When the Soladevanahalli police encountered the duo, the latter attacked them. Both the accused were shot in the leg before they surrendered.
Two head constables were injured in the incident.
