Bengaluru: The city was once again rocked by a shocking late-night incident after a group of armed miscreants went on a rampage, vandalizing nearly 35 vehicles across different neighborhoods.
According to residents, a gang of five to six masked men, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, unleashed violence in Valmiki Nagar, Byadarahalli. Armed with iron rods and machetes, they smashed the windows of cars, damaged two-wheelers, and terrorized locals who attempted to intervene.
“When residents tried to stop them, the gang threatened us with machetes. They damaged cars and then fled,” said a resident of Valmiki Nagar, still in shock after the incident.
Police sources confirmed that the same gang is suspected to have struck again in Muddayanapalya near Annapoorneshwari Nagar, where 10 vehicles were vandalized. The miscreants, travelling in an autorickshaw, reportedly attacked a local driver who tried to confront them before fleeing the scene.

Violence Captured on CCTV
CCTV cameras installed in the area captured the masked gang in action, providing crucial evidence to investigators. Despite the visuals, residents are upset over the escalating violence and have demanded swift action from the police.
Police Register FIRs, Probe Underway
So far, 10 FIRs have been registered in connection with the rampage. Senior officials said efforts are on to trace the miscreants and determine the motive behind the attacks.
Residents of both neighborhoods have urged Bengaluru Police to intensify night patrolling and ensure public safety.
