After 4-Year Rule, BJP Fails to Tackle Pothole Woes: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah
BENGALURU/BELAGAVI:
BJP, which held power for four years, has failed to address the issue of potholes, according to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Speaking to the media at Belagavi Airport today, he responded to the BJP’s accusation that the works were not carried out under the Brand Bengaluru initiative.
The CM pointed out that his government has only been in power for six months and questioned whether the BJP was responsible for creating the brand in the first place. He also highlighted that the High Court had criticized the previous BJP government for neglecting the pothole problem, questioning their moral right to talk about Bengaluru.
In response to a statement about ministers staying in Telangana while sessions are being held in North Karnataka, the CM clarified that not all ministers were absent and that some political maneuvering was necessary. He suggested that only Zameer Ahmed and D.K Shivakumar should return, as most others have already come back.
Addressing H.D Kumaraswamy’s claim that Siddaramaiah lacks a development-focused speech and only engages in appeasement, the CM emphasized that he has promised to protect all communities, including Muslims.
