BENGALURU:
In a significant development, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) conducted raids on the residences of officials who were investigating the Bitcoin scam. On Saturday, the SIT raided the homes of five officers who were leading the Central Crime Branch (CCB) investigation into this fraudulent scheme.
The SIT officials targeted the residence of Police Inspector Sridhar Pujar at Prestige Jindal City Apartments on Tumkur Road, the residence of Cyber Expert Santosh at Bommanahalli Salarpuria Apartments, the residence of Inspector Chandradhar in Ramamurthy Nagar, and the residence of Inspector Laxmikant. They seized laptops and other documents from these locations, which are currently being examined. Additionally, a private individual’s home and office were also subjected to the raid.
During the operation, which covered nine locations belonging to four police officers and two private individuals, various items were confiscated, including four laptops, eight mobile phones, two NAS devices, ten hard drives, five pen drives, and one memory card.
