Sharing screenshots of media reports of an incident in Karnataka’s Belagavi district where a woman was stripped naked, paraded and assaulted after her son eloped with a girl of the same village, Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLC K Kavitha said that it is time the Congress government in the state comes up with a real guarantee of women safety, security and accountability. "Deeply disturbed by the recent incident in Belagavi, Karnataka. It’s disheartening to see such atrocities persist. Our focus must be on ensuring the safety of women and questioning the state of law and order in Karnataka. The condition of women security is absolutely alarming there, with shockingly Bengaluru topping the charts for having most acid attacks as well," Kavitha, who is the daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said in a post on ‘X’.
