Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed strong displeasure after spotting years-old construction debris left unattended beneath the Hennur flyover. The waste heap had grown to such an extent that plants were sprouting from it, prompting the CM to question how civic officials had overlooked it for so long.
“This is not fresh waste—it is old, accumulated garbage. For so many years, how many civic officials have passed this way without noticing it? Didn’t anyone see?” Siddaramaiah asked sternly while inspecting the area.
Issuing strict instructions, the CM directed Bengaluru civic officials to ensure the removal of the waste within 24 hours. He emphasized that negligence in waste management would not be tolerated and demanded accountability for the prolonged oversight.
