In the midst of intense discussions in Parliament on the National Education Policy (NEP), Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) representative Dayanidhi Maran rebutted claims by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan regarding Tamil Nadu’s alleged endorsement of the policy. Maran firmly clarified that the DMK has never accepted the NEP or its contentious three-language formula, which remains unpopular in the southern state.
