The Karnataka government has launched an investigation to uncover the potential involvement of DGP rank officer K Ramachandra Rao in a gold smuggling case. Gaurav Gupta has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary to probe the allegations centering around Rao’s stepdaughter, Kannada actress Ranya Rao.
