No decision yet on allowing churches, mosques to open doors
BENGALURU:
Government-run temples in Karnataka will re-open on June 1, despite the increase in Covid-19 cases in the state.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Tuesday.
Announcing this, Muzrai Minister Kota Srinivas Poojari said, “Devotees need to maintain social distance.”
Around 52 state-run temples will start online services from Wednesday.
No decision has been taken on allowing other religious places of worship to reopen.
