Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, who is currently in Manipal Hospital after testing Covid-19 positive, has sounded a cheerful and optimistic note in a video statement.
In the video, he says, “Last night, around 8.30 to 9 pm, as I got to know I had been tested corona positive, I am taking treatment in the hospital. The doctors after testing me yesterday and today said I will recover soon and get discharged.”

“Our National President J P Nadda, Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, former PM Deve Gowda, Siddaramiah, Kumaraswamy, all mutts’ pontiffs and others have wished me a speedy recovery. I am in touch with all our officers from yesterday and instructed them not to have any delay in government work. Even today, I have spoken to all the officers.”
He added, “There is no need for anyone to panic. I will recover soon and get back to my work. All your blessings and support should be with me always. Our state’s 6.5 crore people’s health is very important. I request all to maintain social distancing and wear masks. Only then we can fight and escape from corona. It should be carefully followed by everyone.”
