BENGALURU: Senior officer Pratap Reddy has tendered his resignation, stepping down two months ahead of his scheduled retirement. Pratap Reddy, who held the position of DGP in the Internal Security Department of Karnataka, has cited personal reasons for his departure.
Pratap Reddy, a distinguished IPS officer from the 1991 batch, hails from the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. He has formally requested the government to release him from his duties by April 30.
Prior to his current role, Pratap Reddy also served as the esteemed Bangalore City Police Commissioner.
