A Delhi court has sentenced former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar to life imprisonment for his involvement in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The decision was welcomed by BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, who commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for appointing a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in 2014 to reopen the case.
