Bengaluru: Karnataka Bank Executive Director Raghavendra Srinivas Bhat called on Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar at his Sadashivanagar residence on Friday.
According to officials, the meeting was a courtesy call and consultation, where discussions were held on matters concerning the banking sector, financial inclusion, and strengthening Karnataka Bank’s outreach in the state.
Deputy CM Shivakumar, who also handles the Bengaluru Development and Water Resources portfolios, has been actively engaging with various stakeholders to boost Karnataka’s economic growth. The meeting with the Karnataka Bank ED is being seen as part of ongoing dialogues between the government and financial institutions to explore collaborative initiatives.
While details of the closed-door discussions were not disclosed, sources indicated that support for business communities, MSMEs, and digital banking expansion in Karnataka featured in the deliberations.
