This act by the deputy chief minister has sparked outrage among netizens on social media, with some criticizing the Bengaluru traffic police. One user @SVishus sarcastically commented: “Super sir 👏👏. Are seat belts mandatory for us only? What is your question? Just out of curiosity.” He also tagged @blrcitytraffic and questioned: “Oh, you’re fine with it, right?”

Another user @Perspective717 raised concerns, saying: “What if, from now onwards, every Bangalorean uses this video as an example to show traffic police that a seat belt is not needed?”
According to Bangalore Police, the penalty for not wearing a seat belt is Rs. 500. It is intriguing to observe how the Bangalore traffic police will handle the situation involving the Deputy Chief Minister driving a car without wearing a seat belt.
