In a landmark development, the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, and the Government of Assam have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the ambitious BioE3 (Biotechnology for Economy, Environment, and Employment) Policy. This partnership marks the first Centre-State collaboration under the BioE3 framework, setting a precedent for other states to follow in establishing robust biotechnology ecosystems.
