One can write exam wearing hijab in Karnataka: Minister MC Sudhakar
BENGALURU:
“One can now wear a hijab while writing exams in Karnataka,” declares Minister MC Sudhakar confidently.
The issue of hijab should no longer be a topic of discussion. It is unfortunate that some individuals tend to raise objections over trivial matters. However, it is crucial that we respect and uphold people’s rights. Minister Sudhakar emphasizes that candidates will be permitted to wear hijab even during the NEET examination.
It is perplexing why there is opposition to this matter. Those protesting should take a moment to review the guidelines for the NEET exam. In a secular country like ours, individuals have the freedom to dress as they please. People should be able to express themselves through their attire without any hindrance, as Minister Sudhakar asserts.
The incident at the government PU college in Udupi, where six girls wearing hijab were denied entry into the classroom last year, sparked protests among PU college girls. In light of the recent hijab-related conflicts in Karnataka, Minister Sudhakar has made this statement to address the issue.
