President Cyril Ramaphosa has framed the recent postponement of the 2025 Budget Speech as an opportunity for South Africans to deepen their understanding of the national budget and its implications. The budget, originally scheduled for last week, was postponed for the first time in the country’s democratic history to allow for further discussions among Government of National Unity (GNU) partners. The revised date for the budget presentation is now set for 12 March 2025.
